Images are excellent and the games are fun :"I purchased this machine for a 50/50 use to be honest. Now that the hd format war is over I went with the ps3 as a blu-Ray player as well as a game console. As far as a movie player, it does an amazing job, the colors are well saturated, the details phenomenal, and it spins up quickly. I don't have a single complaint, except the remote, which is bluetooth so you really can't program it into a learning remote. As far as a game console it does excellent as well, but if I am honest the 360 edges it out (I own both). Not in the hardware department but on game titles available and the online service. XboxLive has it down, its easy to navigate, and simple to find friends online, Sony's not so much. I would rather pay yearly Sony a fee and see a much better setup like the XboxLive. On the other side the PS3 looks gorgeous and is very very quiet in comparison to the 360. So if your looking for a great all around system that will play blu-ray and most of the hot video games its a solid system and I give it the nod. If your only looking for games I say save a few hundred bucks get the 360 and spend that extra money on more games."
